Notes on my journey learning to code & all things backend

During this vacation days, I have been learning to use Visual Studio (until now I had been using VS Code both in my personal projects and in DAM) and specifically MAUI. I wanted a framework where I could use C#. i'm very happy with how I have progressed and gotten a good grade in the Programming subject of DAM (although I still have A LOOOOOOT to review and understand properly), and I have been feeling very happy comfortable using C#, which is why I've felt that I could shift my general interest from Python towards this language as my main programming language to learn backend and manage myself in the world of coding and systems in general. It was my dream since I was little to make desktop applications, and I feel that this framework is very suitable for this and for planning (with the Model-View-ViewModel) the architecture of any project so that it is ready for a multiplatform output, which is compatible with the orientation of my vocational degree btw. For that same reason, I have also been thinking that I could already start making progress during these vacations on the foundation of what could end up being my final project (adding later everything that I learn throughout my second and final year).
This is why I have completed this beginner course from the official Microsoft site:
Learning path: Build mobile and desktop apps with .NET MAUI and set out to make an application that would serve me right now to test and practice the new skills. For the time being, I named it LifeTracker.
...
This is the thing: I am a person who gets terribly and continuously distracted, and I need to organize my daily activities, especially because I spend a lot of time alone in front of my PC, a context in which I get quite lost in my thoughts without becoming aware (until much later) of how much I have gotten distracted. I blame myself a lot then for my loss in productivity. I have tried many time tracking apps (desktop ones especially because it's where I feel most comfortable, I tend to run away from my phone) and none of them I liked very much. Some use the Pomodoro method, which seems very good in general but I feel it's not what suits what I personally need, and others bring too many features and/or are paid. I just want something basic that shows the time I spend doing each thing, stores it, and that's it. And has cute colors, of course (very important):
(It HAS to go well with my teddy bears wallpaper.)
Also, I would like this app it to always be on top, so that it doesn't leave the field of my awareness, and over time add things to it like a feature that asks me every so often what I am doing, to make me aware of this, and to reward me or put me back on track when I have drifted off. Also, i'd like it to remind me that I must stretch, take care of my eyesight, etc from time to time. Moreover, it would have different ways of visualizing the time I spend doing each thing in general. And then, i'd need that the registry database and the app in general run on my server, in a centralized way, and sync both with my desktop app and its Android version. It would be both a time tracking app and an app to combat distraction and be more mindful, specially tailored for my own needs. Moreover, it would be informed by what studies on attention and procrastination have to offer, just as I see articles like [this one] and [this one].
For the moment it's a rudimentary thing, but I'm already using it in my day-to-day. Here's the repository:

But anyway, now that I have finished writing this first prototype, I have decided to spend the rest of my time re-doing the programming and database exercises from my DAM vocational degree, because there are many concepts that I still haven't understood well. I am so eager to start taking the last subjects of my FP!! I can't wait anymore, and especially to take the internship, to have a real "work" experience and start trying to insert myself into the job market... WAAAAHHHHH i can't waaaaaaaittttttttt

PD. My (former!!!!) favorite otome game KILLED the new love interest in front of our very eyes (i.e., they presented the new character with bells and whistles and then cancelled him a few days later because of some very loud and toxic minority). Fuck you PaperGames, you're ruining Chinese games reputation worldwide. We want our werewolf husband back #BringValkoBack

My name is Alejandra and I'm learning to code to become a backend developer. I also love videogames, anime, animals, plants and decorating my home.
